A dad and his teenage daughter have died and a 9-year-old is in the intensive care unit following a crash with a box truck, authorities announced Thursday, May 4, 2023.

The driver was alone in the box truck and 40-year-old Joshua “JJ” Moore was with his 15-year-old daughter Aviona “Avi,” and his son were in his car, when the vehicles collided at the intersection of South Front Street/PA Route 230 and T Street in Steelton at approximately 3:54 p.m., according to the police. A man from St. Albans has died following a head-on collision Thursday in Palmyra with a tractor-trailer owned by the Maine Department of Transportation.

Hans Robinson, 43, of Charleston was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by a medical examiner, according to a news release from State Police.

After interviewing the driver of the semi and two witnesses, police believe Brent Freyenberger, 39, of Plymouth was traveling west on U.S. 30 in a 2008 Honda when he ran a red light and collided with a semi, which was heading south on State Road 39.

Maryland State Police said 25-year-old Myles Watson crashed into a tractor- trailer early Monday as the truck was entering southbound Elkton Road from Performance Drive. The car first went under the tractor-trailer, then it struck an unoccupied pick-up truck in a parking lot.

Investigators say a 25-year-old man died after his SUV crossed the center line and hit a semi-truck head-on Monday near Carrizozo. . .
