In Memory of Gary Litwin (April 23, 2021)

. . . the tractor trailer was heading eastbound in Becket on Friday afternoon when traffic in front of the truck began to slow down. The truck then struck the rear of a Toyota Camry, and pushed that car into a Toyota Sienna van.

Both occupants of the Camry were transported to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. The driver, identified as Gary Litwin, 69, of Ludlow, was pronounced dead at the hospital. In Memory of Blanchard Baisden (April 25, 2021)

When they arrived, officers found that a gray 2003 Nissan Pathfinder had crashed in to  the rear end of a parked, unoccupied, semi-tractor trailer. Blanchard Baisden, 39, who was driving the Nissan died at the scene.  A 36-year-old female passenger was transported to Hartford Hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries. Two additional passengers of the Nissan, a 38-year-old male and 39-year-old male were transported to the Saint Francis Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. . .

Last week a Waterbury man was killed in a crash when the car he was driving crashed into a parked semi trailer. East Hartford man killed in crash; 3 others injured

In Memory of Kathy Pieratt (April 15, 2021)

Kathy Pieratt, 55, of Nashville, was the front seat passenger in a 2010 Ford Fusion driven by her son, Jeremy Pieratt, 32. The semi, driven by Minh Tran, 33, of Michigan, had stopped on the right shoulder of I-65 South to check on a low tire when Jeremy Pieratt, who was traveling southbound, veered right onto the shoulder and struck the rear of the semi’s trailer The Woman Critically Injured in a Car-Tractor Trailer Collision on I-65 South Has died from Her Injuries

Police say 55-year-old Kathy Pieratt of Nashville was the front seat passenger in a 2010 Ford Fusion driven by her son Jeremy Pieratt, 32.

In Memory of Matthew Patek (April 20, 2021)

The driver of the Silverado, who has since been identified as 39-year old Matthew Wade Patek from Mansfield, died at the scene, according to NBPD. . .

A Watertown man was killed after police said he crashed into a parked tractor-trailer in Waterbury early Wednesday morning.

. . . an illegal left-hand turn and then park his semi-truck with trailer in a business driveway while perpendicularly blocking two lanes of Las Positas Road on the night of Dec. 21 were criminally negligent and made him at fault for the deadly collision.

Officials identified a man and a woman who died Friday after police say their car crossed a median and collided with a tow truck in west Phoenix.

Fire crews responded to the scene at 6 p.m. Friday to find two adults trapped in the wreckage. . .

Firefighters arrived to find a passenger car on fire and worked to extinguish the flames.

According to the Arkansas State Police, 85-year-old Rex Savage of Harrison was pronounced dead. . .

In Memory of Samantha Skaggs (April 16, 2021)

The woman who died was identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office as Samantha Maxine Skaggs, 21, of Alberta, Canada. She died at the scene. . .

They determined there had been two separate crashes in the westbound lanes of the highway, the first of which involved a passenger car and a truck-tractor that was pulling a semi-trailer, police said.

Bailey’s car swerved into the tractor-trailer and made contact, and the truck driver tried to take evasive action, police said. That caused the truck to jackknife across the road, police said, leaving it exposed to oncoming traffic.

In Memory of Danielle Moore (April 12, 2021)

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 33-year-old Danielle Moore died after a collision with a tractor-trailer around 7:40 a.m.

She had been driving her Jeep Grand Cherokee south on Highway 316 near Hastings. The State Patrol said her car crossed the center line and swiped the tractor-trailer, which was going in the opposite direction. Red Wing woman killed in crash with tractor-trailer
