A 22-year-old Rome woman was killed Monday after the van she was a passenger in hit the rear of a tractor trailer in Chenango County, according to a release from New York State Police. . .

Jasmine R. Morrison was pronounced dead at the scene, the release said. The driver, 24-year-old Tyler G. Stewart of Lee Center, was airlifted to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse and does not appear to have any life-threatening injuries. Mississippi Highway Patrol says 39-year-old Sandy Lumpkin, of Magnolia, was traveling north in the southbound lanes of I-55 in a 2013 Dodge Charger. A Nissan Altima drove into the rear end of a tractor-trailer that was stationary in the fire lane of the rest area, police said.

When officials arrived, they said they found Saeu T. Suluvale, 34, of Kansas City, Mo., had been headed west in a 2017 Chevrolet Colorado. At the same time, Timothy Wiley, 47, of Middleburg, Fla., had been headed east in a 2022 Freightliner semi-truck.

Joshua A. Morgan, 46, of Theresa, was driving north on State Route 37 when his vehicle was rear ended, troopers said. A vehicle driven by Jaydon, M. Brow, 22, crashed into the back of Morgan’s vehicle, pushing it into the oncoming traffic, they said.

A 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck was traveling southbound on North Main Street when a head collision occurred with a 1998 International 9400 semi-truck and trailer that was traveling northbound.

State police said 32-year-old Nicole Gabelman, of Middlebury, was driving a Nissan Altima and lost control on Interstate East, neat exit 56, just after 9 a.m. and hit the back to a tractor-trailer and the metal guardrail.
