In Memory of Michael Reilly (October 25, 2020)

Michael Reilly of Wallingford, 20, died Monday, Oct. 25 when his car was involved in an accident with a tractor-trailer on I-95 near Exit 46 in New Haven. 

According to police, on Monday around 2:15 a.m., Reilly was driving a Kia Optima behind a tractor-trailer. When the truck entered a construction area and slowed down, police said Reilly’s car struck the truck’s rear-end. 20-Year-Old Who Died In I-95 Crash Loved Gaming, Nature

In Memory of Ronnell Lamont James (October 29, 2020)

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision that occurred in Capitol Heights on Thursday evening. The deceased driver is 49-year-old Ronnell Lamont James . . .

. . . the tractor trailer was being backed up on Hampton Park Boulevard and was positioned across the roadway. James was travelling southbound on Hampton Park Boulevard. In Memory of Amy Marlene Davis (October 28, 2020)

For an unknown reason, troopers say the driver drove through a stop sign and into the intersection where it hit a tractor-trailer traveling eastbound on SR-30.

The impact happened at the rear axel of the trailer, according to troopers, killing the woman and only occupant of the Odyssey.

UPDATE: Police say the deceased driver of the Honda Odyssey is 38-year-old Amy Marlene Davis of Beaver Dam, Utah. UPDATE: Woman killed after crash in Box Elder County identified

In Memory of Jorge Acosta-Flores and David D. Aguilar (June 12, 2020)

. . . two teenage boys died after a car crashed into the rear of a semitrailer Friday morning in Carol Stream.

The crash happened about 6:25 a.m. in the westbound lanes of North Avenue just west of Bennet Drive, Carol Stream police said in a statement.

A Carol Stream police officer witnessed the crash, and used a fire extinguisher to put out a fire caused by the impact, police said. . .

In Memory of Thomas (T.J.) Jackson, Jaden Olson, & Titus IronShield (October 6, 2020)

A 2015 Maserati Ghibli was driven by 21-year-old Jaden Olson of Rapid City, and had two passengers, 55-year-old Titus Ironshield of Rapid City, and 22-year-old Thomas Jackson of Spearfish. All three men were wearing seatbelts in the crash.

A 2016 Freightliner Cascadia semi-truck and trailer was eastbound on Interstate 90 when it was rear-ended by the Maserati. Victims identified in I-90 fatal crash

In Memory of Justin Cook & Raelyn Cook (October 2, 2020)

Justin Cook, 6, and Raelynn Cook, 5 — were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, about a mile east of Ind. 3’s intersection with Ind. 18.

The children were passengers in an eastbound pickup truck — driven by their father, Robert A. Cook, 37, Montpelier — that reportedly crossed the center line on the state highway and collided with a westbound semi-tractor trailer.

A 50-year-old Bridgeport man was killed late Thursday night after his disabled vehicle was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer truck and burst into flames on Interstate 95, state police said.

In Memory of Patricia Renick (October 1, 2020)

Patricia Renick, 71 of Crawfordsville, died after colliding head-on with a semi-tractor trailer while heading westbound on Ind. 32 in Lebanon. Deputies were called to the scene around 1:20 p.m.

Fire personnel freed Renick from the car, and medics put her into an ambulance while they waited for a helicopter to take her to the hospital, according to the sheriff’s office.

Renick “had serious bodily injuries that needed immediate medical treatment,” the sheriff’s office said.

In Memory of Jerry Drake & Krista Strickland (September 4, 2020)

The crash happened on I-90 between exits 46 in Henrietta and 47 in LeRoy around 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 4. Troopers say Campbell tried to make a U-turn while driving a semi on the Thruway when another vehicle drove under the tractor-trailer.  

According to crews, the second vehicle had gone 100 feet off of the Thruway. The driver and passenger both died.

In Memory of Michael Lee Grim (September 29, 2020)

A crash report indicates that Michael Lee Grim, 76, was driving west on Highway 137 just after 3 p.m. on Tuesday when at around 702nd Avenue, he crossed the centerline of a curved portion of the road for an unknown reason.

Grim’s vehicle collided head-on with a tractor-trailer that was travelling eastbound on Highway 137, according to the crash report.
