A musician from Niantic was killed in a crash in Madison on Sunday morning when his car collided with the back of a tractor-trailer on Interstate 95, according to Connecticut State Police.

Aymeric Dupre la Tour, a 49-year-old musician trained at The Julliard School, was driving his Subaru Forester in the left lane of I-95 southbound near Exit 60 in Madison about 7:30 a.m. Sunday when a tractor-trailer in the right lane came to a stop with traffic due to a road closure up ahead, according to Connecticut State Police Troop F. Authorities say Stephanie Tomann was killed in the crash with a dump truck just north of Howard Lake.

OSHP said 44-year-old Erik O’Brien, of Alliance, was pronounced dead at the scene. The semi driver, of Columbus, was not injured.

The Wallingford Police Department Traffic Division is currently investigating a crash that involved a 2004 Mercedes-Benz C320 and a tractor-trailer carrying streel [sic].

The crash happened around 4:40 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of South Colony Road and South Elm Street. When Wallingford police patrol officers arrived, they found the Mercedes-Benz severely damaged with the driver trapped inside, police said. . .

Around 7:50 a.m., a Subaru Impreza traveling westbound on Highway 34 near 210th Road crossed the center line into eastbound traffic and caused a head-on collision, according to a preliminary investigation by law enforcement.
