Three people were killed on Route 33 in Monroe County on Wednesday in a five-vehicle crash involving two tractor-trailers. . .

Among them was Samantha Crich, 40, of Wilkes-Barre. . . died Wednesday at Lehigh Valley Health Network – Cedar Crest campus of multiple blunt force injuries caused by the crash.

Bryan Franco, 25, of Hellertown also was killed in the accident. . .

Officers believe the driver of the semi, a 39-year-old man from Rockport, Indiana, was heading east on US 60 when he crossed over the centerline. The truck driver allegedly tried to swerve back to avoid crashing, but hit a Honda with the driver side rear of his truck.

. . . a Chevy Silverado was heading eastbound on U.S. Highway 14-A just before 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 when it lost control while crossing an icy bridge deck.

The Silverado spun counterclockwise across all five highway lanes and into the path of an oncoming Volvo tractor-trailer heading westbound.

The Silverado’s tailgate area struck the front of the Volvo, causing severe damage to the pickup. . .

According to the crash report, Allen Snyder, 42, was driving his 2014 Hyundai south on Route 219 in Snyder Township near the Glasshurst Road intersection around Little Toby Creek, Sunday around 7 p.m.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and a 2013 Peterbilt semitrailer were eastbound on K-96 when the semi slowed to make a right — or southbound — turn onto Worthington Road.

The patrol said the Silverado didn’t slow down in time and rear-ended the semi.

. . . two people in a Nissan Sentra were stopped on southbound Interstate 294 near milepost 30 after being involved in a crash. 

A semi heading south was unable to stop and struck the Nissan in the rear. 

The driver and passenger of the Nissan were transported to a local hospital, where the driver was later pronounced dead. The driver has been identified as Diana Garcia, 59, of Greenville, Wisconsin. I-294 crash: One killed after semi truck hits stopped car

A 61-year-old man died Wednesday when he collided head-on with a tractor-trailer on a Lancaster County highway, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Mark J. Slobodjian, of Nottingham, was found dead around 5:21 p.m. at the scene of the Providence Township crash, at Lancaster Pike and Schoolhouse Road, state police said.
