In Memory of Amber Nichole Edwards and Anoulame J. Thayorath

“A driver and passenger killed in a wreck in north Charlotte Tuesday morning have been identified by police as 36-year-old Anoulame J. Thayorath and 29-year-old Amber Nichole Edwards.

“The deadly crash happened around 9:45 a.m. on West WT Harris Boulevard at Interstate 485 when a car and tractor-trailer collided.

“Upon arrival, officials say it appeared that a Nissan Murano struck the side of a tractor-trailer in the intersection. The vehicle had come to rest under the trailer, according to a report.

In Memory of Reza Zati

At around 11:50 p.m., officers responded to the scene of a two-vehicle collision on the inner loop of I-495 at Seminary Road before Georgia Avenue, Maryland State Police said in a statement. They found a 2004 Honda Civic, which had been traveling at high speed, slammed into the rear of a tractor trailer and lodged beneath.

In Memory of Eddie D. Phillips

An Ohio man was killed in a horrific crash with a semi-truck on Saturday afternoon, resulting in the northbound lanes of Interstate 75 being shut down between Exit 41 in London and the Livingston Exit 49.

Eddie D. Phillips, 54, of Cincinnati, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash that occurred near the 46 mile marker. Phillips was the sole occupant of the 2011 Mitsubishi that slammed into the rear of a 2016 Peterbilt. The driver of the semi-truck, 52-year-old Michael S. In Memory of Timothy Leatherbury and Jeremy Morrow

Officials say Timothy Leatherbury, 36, was driving his Cadillac westbound on N.W. 122nd when he failed to stop for a stop sign and collided with the back half of a semi that was headed south on Piedmont Road.

Leatherbury and his passenger, 27-year-old Jeremy Morrow, died at the scene.  Officials identify two people who were killed after car became lodged under semi-truck in N.W. Oklahoma City

In Memory of Edgar Olguin Resendiz and Vanessa Felipe

On Monday, around 10:37 a.m., 26-year-old Edgar Olguin Resendiz was driving northbound on I-35 near Goldsby when he crashed into the back of a semi-truck.

They were then struck from behind by another vehicle.

Resendiz and his 26-year-old passenger, Vanessa Felipe, were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.  They were both killed in the collision.

In Memory of Christopher Shaw & Devonte Bouchee

A white Jaguar and a red GMC Envoy were northbound on Orchard Road, apparently traveling at high speeds, when both cars struck the trailer of a semi-tractor turning south onto Orchard Road after getting off eastbound I-88, according to the sheriff’s office. 

The GMC driver, identified as Christopher Shaw, 23, of North Aurora, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The front seat passenger, Devonte Bouchee, 24, of Aurora, died in the afternoon after he was flown to a Chicago-area hospital.  Aurora police probe reports of shootout between cars before fatal crash

In Memory of Landon Staley, Travin Nelson Phongphiou, & Mikayla Sorenson

The crash happened around 4:00 a.m. July 26, 2017 on Alderwood Mall Parkway. The car hit the semi with such force that it became wedged under the trailer and its top was sheared off.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the teens as Landon Staley, 16; Travin Nelson Phongphiou, 16; and Mikayla Sorenson, 15. In Memory of Randall Searcy

A Lennox van driver has died after rear-ending a semitruck in Salt Lake City Monday afternoon.

Police responded to the incident around 1 p.m. at 900 W. 2100 South, Salt Lake Police Sgt. Brandon Shearer said. The semitruck had stopped at a traffic light when the van collided with it.

The van driver, identified as 46-year-old Randall Searcy, died of his injuries shortly before 7 p.m., Salt Lake City police officials said in a tweet.

Photos from the scene showed the van had crashed into the semitrailer’s rear right corner, smashing through the van windshield and driver’s side door. Van driver dies after rear-ending semitruck

In Memory of Terrie Roede & Randy Roede

A couple from Pierre died when their pickup truck collided with a semi on Interstate 90 and caught fire. Authorities say the semi was eastbound, entered the median and traveled into the westbound lanes where the collision occurred Sunday.

In Honor of Lance Stephens

Zachary Thiel, 25, of Nebraska, was driving a semi northbound on Enos Lane when he stopped his vehicle to backup onto Panama Lane. Lance Stephens, 35, of Taft, was also traveling northbound on Enos Lane when he saw Thiel’s trailer in front of him.

In an attempt to avoid a crash, Stephens veered to the right and ended up colliding with the left rear of the semi.

Stephens suffered major injuries and was transported to Kern Medical, according to CHP. CHP release additional details in morning crash on Panama and Enos Lanes
