The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed two Naples men Sunday night on I-75. 

It happened just after 7:30 p.m. on the southbound lanes near the Bonita Beach Road exit. 

Troopers say a white Hyundai Tiburon was reportedly traveling on the emergency lane passing traffic when the vehicle slammed into a box truck that was pulled over. 

The driver of the Hyundai, Joel Lemus, 20, and his passenger, Daniel Ortiz, 21, both died at the scene. 

The driver and passenger of the truck were not injured. Troopers say they had exited the vehicle and were in the grass when the crash occurred. 2 Naples men killed in crash on I-75 in Bonita
