In Honor of an Underride Victim (Highgate, Vermont, March 8, 2018)

A woman was taken to the hospital after her car slid into a tractor-trailer. The woman was trapped inside her car and had to be pulled out. Police say she was likely traveling too fast for road conditions and that the snowy weather was a factor. In Memory of Kristopher Reed

One person was killed in an early morning crash in Kosciusko County. It happened shortly before 7 a.m. at U.S. 30 and 350 West between Warsaw and Atwood.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department says a passenger vehicle had under rode a semi-trailer. According to witness statements the Peterbilt Semi was traveling from northbound 350 West onto Westbound US 30 and was slowing or stopping in the median. The Peterbilt’s trailer was then struck by an eastbound Dodge passenger vehicle.

In Memory of Amber Nichole Edwards and Anoulame J. Thayorath

“A driver and passenger killed in a wreck in north Charlotte Tuesday morning have been identified by police as 36-year-old Anoulame J. Thayorath and 29-year-old Amber Nichole Edwards.

“The deadly crash happened around 9:45 a.m. on West WT Harris Boulevard at Interstate 485 when a car and tractor-trailer collided.

“Upon arrival, officials say it appeared that a Nissan Murano struck the side of a tractor-trailer in the intersection. The vehicle had come to rest under the trailer, according to a report.

In Memory of Danielle Garcia

A 22-year-old woman was killed in a crash in Pawnee County early Saturday morning.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Danielle Garcia was driving east on U-25 just west of Larned when she rear-ended a semi which had slowed down to turn into a private driveway.

KHP says she was wearing her seat belt.

In Memory of Leroy Miller

It appears that a car collided with a Pepsi truck at the intersection of Chester and East 105th Street.

Cleveland Police say that one person was killed, and two others were entrapped in the car.

The man who was killed has been identified as 49-year-old Leroy Miller Sr. of Cleveland. Victim identified in Chester Avenue crash

In Memory of Trooper Kevin Miller

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner released the cause of death for a state trooper who was involved in a crash last week. 

It said Trooper First Class Kevin Miller, 49, died of blunt force impact to the head, torso, and extremities with fractures and visceral injuries.

Miller’s cruiser collided with the back end of a tractor-trailer on Interstate 84 eastbound by exit 68 on Thursday afternoon.

He was just shy of reaching the 20-year mark with Connecticut State Police.

According to the accident report released last week, the tractor-trailer was traveling in the right lane at a rate that was slower than the flow of traffic.

Miller struck the back of it.

In Memory of Reza Zati

At around 11:50 p.m., officers responded to the scene of a two-vehicle collision on the inner loop of I-495 at Seminary Road before Georgia Avenue, Maryland State Police said in a statement. They found a 2004 Honda Civic, which had been traveling at high speed, slammed into the rear of a tractor trailer and lodged beneath.

In Memory of Eddie D. Phillips

An Ohio man was killed in a horrific crash with a semi-truck on Saturday afternoon, resulting in the northbound lanes of Interstate 75 being shut down between Exit 41 in London and the Livingston Exit 49.

Eddie D. Phillips, 54, of Cincinnati, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash that occurred near the 46 mile marker. Phillips was the sole occupant of the 2011 Mitsubishi that slammed into the rear of a 2016 Peterbilt. The driver of the semi-truck, 52-year-old Michael S. Tilotta of Houston, Texas, was not injured in the crash. He was stopped in traffic due to another accident just north of the 46 mile marker. Ohio man killed in Interstate crash

In Memory of Timothy Leatherbury and Jeremy Morrow

Officials say Timothy Leatherbury, 36, was driving his Cadillac westbound on N.W. 122nd when he failed to stop for a stop sign and collided with the back half of a semi that was headed south on Piedmont Road.

Leatherbury and his passenger, 27-year-old Jeremy Morrow, died at the scene.  Officials identify two people who were killed after car became lodged under semi-truck in N.W. Oklahoma City

In Memory of Edgar Olguin Resendiz and Vanessa Felipe

On Monday, around 10:37 a.m., 26-year-old Edgar Olguin Resendiz was driving northbound on I-35 near Goldsby when he crashed into the back of a semi-truck.

They were then struck from behind by another vehicle.

Resendiz and his 26-year-old passenger, Vanessa Felipe, were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.  They were both killed in the collision.
